LV=GI are looking for an experienced Credit Control Manager to join our family of accomplished people in the Credit Controller team. This role can work from our Croydon or Brentwood offices with the opportunity to work from home 2/3 days a week. We adopt a flexible working environment with a focus on learning & development
As a member of the leadership team within Broker Accounts the important purpose will be to manage and motivate a team of Credit Controllers to provide a high-quality debt collection and reconciliation service on behalf of LV=Broker ensuring that premiums are collected from brokers within their agreed credit terms and ensuring queries are managed and resolved to maximise cash flow, reduce the risk of bad debt and balance the Broker bank ledger.

What are we looking for?
You will have a track record of managing a Credit Control/Reconciliation team within a financial services industry. Desirable in Broker / insurance area.
You will have excellent communication skills with experience of leadership and management of people. You will have experience building working relationships, motivating and inspiring others to achieve their full potential and confidence to manage relationships with stakeholders within the business and Brokers.
Good knowledge of Microsoft Office applications with experience using Oracle Financials.
What will you be doing?
Lead, manage & motivate a team of Credit Controllers to achieve its debt collection, reconciliation & service delivery objectives through effective leadership, monitoring & performance management.
In conjunction with the Head of Broker Services set the debt collection, reconciliation, service delivery, productivity, quality, audit & compliance objectives & KPI’s for the Broker Accounts team.
Achievement of the Broker Accounts debt collection, reconciliation, service delivery, productivity, quality, audit & compliance objectives & KPI’s.
Implement effective MI, reports & controls to monitor, analyse & manage the performance of the Credit Controllers address issues & under performance, as required.
Implement working practices, processes & procedure guides to deliver efficient & effective premium collection & reconciliation performance.
Drive change & continuous improvement, particularly through the utilisation of Systems Thinking & digitisation, to deliver improvements in service, premium collection & reconciliation & drive cost savings & efficiencies.
Manage the issue of daily broker payments, BACS or cheques within agreed timescales.
Ensure the team work closely with Underwriting, Product Delivery & Operations to resolve problematic accounts, ensuring all overdue items & late payments are proactively tracked & escalated to the appropriate stakeholders.
Undertake & manage the monthly audit program ensuring trends are identified actions are managed through to completion.
Work closely with Group Financial Systems to ensure the month-end close procedure & subsequent report run is completed within agreed timescales.
Manage & oversee the application process & day to day servicing of the Online Accounts Management system.
Ensure the team of Credit Controllers fully understands & complies with all legal, regulatory & industry body codes of practice & requirements.
Ensure that the team of Credit Controllers are fully resourced with quality, competent staff & implement effective training programs to provide continuous personal development & maximise the performance & effectiveness of the teams.
