LV= General Insurance have an excellent opportunity to join the Third-Party Claims team in Bournemouth as a Third-Party Direct Claims Consultant, Level 1. You will spend your time speaking to customers, proactively managing your own caseload of work and performing various administrative tasks off the back of calls. As part of this role you will also be engaging with a range of individuals including third party customers and teams across the LVGI business.

We’re open for our customers from Monday to Friday 8:00am – 6:00pm.

Saturday 8.00am – 12pm

Our working hours reflect that:

  • Your shifts will vary on a 3 week rolling rota to cover these hours including 1 in 3 Saturdays
  • You’ll work 37.5 hours a week.
  • There’s a 6 week training plan covering all systems, products and processes used. Full attendance is required for the first 3 weeks.  

This position will be based from our Bournemouth office, due to the pandemic you will be required to work from home temporarily.

The salary being offered for the role is £22,500

What will you be doing?

  • Your main role will be to fact find and ensure the correct information is obtained and passed to the relevant team so we can pro-actively manage our third-party customer claims (e.g. repair, hire, injury).
  • Work proactively, to tight deadlines, and manage own caseload within agreed timeframes whilst remaining outcome focussed.
  • Adhere to regulatory bodies that govern the claims department, e.g. DPA, TCF.
  • Actively influence injured Third Parties to deal with LV on a direct basis to reach settlement of their claim.
  • Identify and evaluate claims requiring referral or escalation to relevant areas within the business e.g. fraud, causation and technical claims including referrals to suppliers.
  • Identify and recognise severity and type of injury and escalate to the appropriate team/department.
  • Proactively manage claims involving vulnerable road users (VRUs).
  • Identify, resolve and escalate complaints ensuring that FCA timescales are adhered to.
