LV=GI have a fantastic opportunity for an GI Fraud Analytics and Rules Manager to join our family of accomplished people in the Financial Crimes team. This role can be based at Leeds, Ipswich or Bournemouth with the opportunity to work from home 2/3 days a week. We adopt a flexible working environment with a focus on learning & development.
You will be leading a team of fraud analysts, who provide support to the Financial Crime operational area.
You and the team will focus on identifying opportunities where fraud exposure at new business and claims stages can be better identified and reduced, through the analysis and manipulation of a variety of data to understand trends, patterns and exposures.
You will support and make recommendations to Underwriting, Claims and Fraud management on appropriate changes to controls and operating rules to reduce that exposure, whilst maintaining our customer service ethos.

What are we looking for?
You will have previous experience in a Counter Fraud role with a strong understanding of General Insurance end to end processes and products. You will have a good understanding of Underwriting principles in both personal lines and commercial lines arenas and comprehensive knowledge of strategic claims issues, market and legal trends / initiatives. You will have knowledge of machine learning models and regulatory requirements including TCF.
You will have the ability to multi-task and manage a wide range of scenarios to work pro-actively to tight deadlines and take responsibility for own workload with predictions on future medium to long term business risk and proactively identify solutions / controls
You will have experience of technically developing, leading and coaching a team of fraud risk analysts and ability to converse competently at all levels with Influencing, negotiation and willingness to lead, motivate and inspire others to achieve their full potential
You will have excellent written, oral communication and numerical skills with the ability to analyse, manipulate large volumes of data and interpret Information from a range of sources with skills to include analysis, fraud risk identification with the ability to make timely decisions, take appropriate actions and find solutions through creative thinking. You will have knowledge of adapting analytical skills to changing roles and environments
You will be PC literate with use of Microsoft Office, Excel, Power Pivot and BI reporting tools and awareness of specialist reporting techniques SAS, SQL, Azure environment, Oracle and SME using the SIRA platform desirable.
What will you be doing?
Review complex data reports. Carryout MI analysis to identify emerging fraud trends, build sophisticated fraud rules, scorecards and develop immediate tactical and strategic responses to fraud risk
Responsible for producing fraud risk validation models, identify risks and introduce controls to mitigate exposure at PoQ, PoS, post-sale and claims
Review of system and manual rules performance and make recommendations to the appropriate governance fora to add, remove or amend rules
Working with the Advanced Analytics team, the Data Enrichment Manager, and other key stakeholders in Underwriting, pricing and claims, identify and leverage new and existing data sources to enhance fraud detection capability
Uncover and deliver actionable insights on consumer and third party behaviour patterns using statistical methodologies and tools
Manage a team of fraud claims risk analysts
Be a key contributor to Risk Validation, Fraud Governance and Pricing Committee meetings
Develop and maintain internal senior stakeholder relationships. Promote cross functional working through collaboration, by sharing of ideas and knowledge
Subject Matter Expert for a wide range of insurance fraud and risk management. Share knowledge between, Claims, Underwriting, Pricing and Marketing
Engage with key suppliers to develop data and analytics—led solutions, creating competitive advantage for LV=
Responsible for delivery of fraud technology projects with a commercial and operational awareness
Supporting the development of counter fraud strategy at both a Business Unit and Group level
Identify development areas, arrange for the delivery of technical training complying with all LV Group controls and procedures
To keep abreast of market initiatives and new technology and recommending action as appropriate
