Being part of the change, you can help us keep the customer at the heart of what we do, bringing your ideas and expertise. You’ll analyse user requirements and design and build technical solutions to business problems.
Keeping up with the ever-changing landscape of LV=GI requires an Agile methodology, so the team work across Scaled Agile Framework environment (SAFe), and you will be working within multidisciplinary Scrum teams collaborating closely and effectively to deliver effective, reliable IT solutions to high standards of quality and performance to the agreed timescales.
Guided by the core GI IT strategy and supported by a thriving team, you’ll complete high standards of quality and performance across the Guidewire application. You’ll communicate progress with documented evidence and regular updates with your stakeholders. Bringing your knowledge and expertise of Gosu and/or Java, you’ll coach teammates across the Guidewire applications.
What are we looking for?
As an experienced developer with a background in Java, and Guidewire in particular, you’ll have a great working knowledge of the insurance IT space and can anticipate the needs of your business users and customers. Working across this Gosu developed Java application, you’ll have a good understanding of the systems development lifecycle within ClaimCenter and/or PolicyCenter.
Organised and methodical, you’ll be able to work to a plan, delivering high quality and performing solutions into the General Insurance BAU and the delivery of projects. You’ll enjoy working as part of a team, mentoring others and with a willingness to learn receiving the guidance of experienced team members too.
In an Agile workplace, communication is key, so your ability to produce written evidence and reporting, as well as nurture great working relationships with your open spoken skills are important too. Adaptable and experienced in Scrum and SAFe methodologies, you’ll be familiar with multidisciplinary teamwork and working collaboratively to achieve one goal.
