The IT Resource Planning Analyst is a vital role in the ever evolving landscape of LV=GI’s IT teams. You’ll be working closely with the Head of IT Delivery and Development manager to maintain and control resource planning, future proofing our business by forecasting future requirements and resourcing them accordingly.
By assigning people to projects based on their skills, experience, availability and budget, and collaborating with other Resource Planning colleagues, you’ll ensure that resource capacity is managed effectively across GI IT. Resources include internal IT colleagues as well as third parties and partners. Your role will see you onboarding new personnel as required, ensuring Statements of Work, Purchase Orders and internal vacancies with HR are managed efficiently to keep IT projects and BAU running effectively.
Using trend analysis and insight to create a rolling supply, you will provide regular reports on team resources to anticipate future requirements, highlight potential risk, and effectively plan to mitigate any issues. Thanks to your efforts, IT resources will be optimised to provide the best possible strategic, financial and customer-driven outcomes within budget and timelines.
This role offers part time and flexible hours, so let us know the best working pattern for you.
What are we looking for?
With your experience in resource planning, you’ll be best placed to keep the LV=GI IT departments optimised and efficient. Applying resource planning methodologies and principles, your flexible and innovative approach will adapt these to creatively resolve any resource issues you have predicted, and quickly combat those unforeseen issues that crop up.
With your people skills, communicating well with stakeholders at every level of the business, you’ll have managed conflicting priorities and other real-time issues in the past. Effective in written and spoken media, you’ll effectively influence and negotiate colleagues and third parties, and negotiate successful resource outcomes. Technical skills, like your advanced Excel and Office skills, allow you to document and report on resource requirements and as-is situations.
Resource Planning requires a good understanding of the needs of the IT business area, so any knowledge of the IT Delivery lifecycle is an advantage to your application. Most importantly, you’ll recognise that the resources you’re deploying are people, so you’ll be considerate and communicate clearly and effectively, fully supporting our People-centric values at LV=GI.
