Having recently joined the Allianz family, LV= GI are currently carving the path to a new, powerful way of complex project delivery in the insurance industry.
To make this happen, we are seeking an experienced Lead Systems Thinking Consultant to support with a number of key transformation projects across the business. You'll support the strategic implementation of systems thinking as an initiative to deliver Group Strategy. You'll work with senior leaders across all areas of LV=GI to deliver strategic and commercial outcomes through facilitating a shift in leadership thinking (aligned to Systems Thinking). The ultimate aim of the role is to create a transformation in performance in commercial, people and customer outcomes whilst ensuring there is a strong risk and control environment.

To be successful in this role, you'll have strong financial and commercial awareness and ability to interact confidently at all levels including functional executives and external parties. You'll previous experience in operating in the Systems Thinking space and previous background of working in a change environment. Over time, you'll develop great understanding of internal and external system conditions and will be able to influence decisions based on customer preference with Systems Thinking best practice in mind.
You'll also have a great deal of awareness of compliance factors and ability to weigh, positively respond to and resolve issues and risks and the natural ability to use it in project/ change management environment. Ideally, you'll also be able to demonstrate previous experience in a management or leadership role.
What will you be doing?
Support the improvement and effectiveness of core GI wide operational processes and activities.
To be accountable for supporting the delivery and embedding of a systems thinking culture within GI.
Support leaders to embed the delivery of the Group strategy, building leadership and operational capability.
Support the delivery of a focused and improved customer experience differentiated where appropriate.
Internal systems thinking capability built across GI, as required.
Work with Functional Executives and senior leaders to understand how the whole system is working (typically beyond the immediate area of intervention/focus) from a financial perspective and help shift the thinking and behavior as well as the strategy to tackle these conditions.
Ensure business leaders understand and demonstrate system thinking principles and approach through discussion and identification of changes in leaders thought processes.
Lead on understanding the economic model for the business area and challenge decisions to ensure they are made using data insight and improve the system to deliver the right customer outcomes
Use knowledge and data to challenge current assumptions and drive change within the system. Ensure that decisions regarding change are based on knowledge and data, and account for the impact of change across the whole system.
Assist leaders in defining the strategy for the design and management of work and support the associated cultural change to ensure that decisions made result in fair customer outcomes
Role models behavior and proactively challenges thinking across the group to drive and embed change in the way we approach the design and management of work.
Coach and support leaders through change, mentoring key stakeholders to ensure sustainable change in management and leadership.
Ensure that staff involved in the intervention are fully aware of their responsibilities in the prevention of financial crime, and to "protect what is important to our customers" throughout the design and roll in, through raising awareness and education of all anti fraud measures and fraud reporting requirements.
Interfacing with CIO, Digital and wider transformation programs to translate Systems Thinking insight into actionable automation strategies and/or further strategic opportunities to improve performance based on the understanding and redesign of the workflow
Design, deliver and transfer capability for the execution of education and awareness programmes for Systems Thinking to ensure sustainability
Apply expertise across a number of different disciplines to drive change within the broader system. Developing networks across businesses to ensure best practice within Systems Thinking is shared.
Ensure that risks, issues, dependencies and impacts on the systemic flow are identified and responded to appropriately.
Help the direct support functions across GI and those that feed into GI to understand their areas from a customer perspective to more effectively and efficiently meet the demand placed upon them by Operations where there is a direct impact as part of the intervention. These support areas would include but not be limited to IT, Finance, Risk, HR, Fraud etc.
