I’ve been at LV= GI since I left school, so I feel like I’ve grown up here! I’ve worked across many departments but about four years ago I joined the Buildings team and that’s where I still am today. I love it. That’s the great thing about working at LV= GI - they listen to what you need and where you want to go. You have to put in the work and effort, but everything you need is available to you if you want it. LV= GI have taught me so much. I’ve built up my confidence here and have been empowered to continue to develop year on year.
I really believe in LV= GI’s values. I apply them to everything I do, even outside of work. With the type of claims I deal with, there’s usually an immediate threat to the customer. It’s my job to come up with solutions. And If I’m putting the customer at the heart of everything I do then I know that I’m doing my job well.
We’re one big, but close team. We’re always winning awards and proudly deliver world-class NPS scores - our rating was over 80%!
One Saturday, for example, when another department was having a really busy day, I was able to support them by being available throughout the day on the messenger app we use to avoid any delays in the referral process. I stayed on past my departments closing hours that day to make sure that the handlers were able to get support they needed without having to wait until Monday. It felt really good to be able to help and take some of the pressure off my colleagues. I also won employee of the month that month which was lovely. I’m a bit of a workaholic, but the fact that LV= GI and my colleagues recognise my hard work is an added bonus!
I’ve always felt really supported at LV= GI. You can feel in the culture and atmosphere that everyone is accepting of - and looking out for - one another. And if you need support, it’s always available. If I didn’t work here, I would not be who I am today. Thank you LV= GI!
