About the role
If you enjoy a challenging role where no two days are the same then this may be the role for you.
Working within our Retirement Solutions research and development team, you will be supporting all of our Retirement Solutions products and our propositions.You will be helping to drive new proposition ideas and projects, and following this through all the way to implementation. Working with the product team and our subject matter experts throughout the business you will help provide information and guidance on potential changes and improvements. This will also involve supporting the head of Research and development to present this information to our senior leaders for approval . Once in flight, you will support, facilitate and help implement these changes.
Working closely with the CIO development teams and other business areas, you will work collaboratively on deliveries not only report into your specific team and to project stakeholders but to also help everyone involved to understand the businesses priority’s and achieve changes that give the maximum business value to LV=.
Please note this role is for a 6 month Fixed Term Contract
To enable you to be successful within this role you will need background knowledge on the Retirement Solutions business and products that we offer. If you are not up to date with the products we offer you will have experience of working within Agile technology delivery or projects relating to this. Your role will involve dealing with a variety of different stakeholders within the business so you will have great communication skills and the ability to adapt your approach depending on your audience. You are self-motivated individual who is able to organise and manage your own workload and enjoy helping others to meet required deliverables.
To support and lead the development and communication of the Retirement Solutions proposition development strategy and contribute to the development of marketing, distribution and service strategies as they affect proposition development.
To understand the end to end value chain for decumulation products and develop optimal propositions and proposition improvements
To drive forward Retirement Solutions product and proposition development and related marketing initiatives to meet Life SBU performance agenda.
To monitor market developments and to ensure that, where commercially possible, LV= maintains a competitive decumulation proposition in the market.
To contribute to the development of new decumulation related marketing material, and to ensure its compliance with all legislative and regulatory requirements (including TCF).
To champion the prioritisation, implementation and communication of the Retirement Solutions proposition development strategy, including small change.
To promote all Retirement Solutions proposition developments and provide initial sales support.
To facilitate collection and assessment of propositional ideas and innovation from all RS departments
To assist the Head of Research and Development in ensuring regulatory and legislative risks associated product development and financial promotions are managed within Group appetite.
To share knowledge and support colleagues across the wider RS Propositions team.
To represent LV= at industry forums where appropriate.
