About the role
Our Life Marketing Team is responsible for the planning, design and delivery of marketing campaigns for intermediaries and Direct to Consumer (D2C) sector. The team you’ll be joining is specifically aligned to the marketing of our Retirement Solutions (RS) Products such as; Pensions, Drawdown, Investment Annuities, Enhanced Annuities, Equity Release & Retirement Advice.
So what’s your role within this team?
Well, quite simply, you’ll support the Head of Marketing to create, plan and execute on-going B2B & D2C marketing strategies and initiatives in support of our overall Retirement proposition. We’re looking for someone who can lead by example, so you’ll ensure you and your team, deliver the high quality and quantity of effective marketing materials required for this fast paced business. Your team will be responsible for a full spectrum of marketing activity including proposition development, customer journey, online and offline campaigns as well as providing a suite of supporting materials and events for the intermediary sales force. This means you will have a mix of hands-on marketing as well as directing the priorities, performance and development of your team in support of the objectives set by the Head of Marketing and the Retirement Solutions business.
A key area of focus will be maximisation of the effectiveness of marketing budgets, to deliver the maximum Return on Investment (ROI), whilst balancing the need to work to tight timescales.
Understandably, you’re creative, analytical and have a real passion for marketing, media and delivering communications seamlessly together, with the ability and experience of leading a team. It is important that you have strong experience in either Marketing or in a relevant Financial Services role, although it is not essential that you have both. Having a degree in Marketing (or equivalent) or a recognised Marketing qualification (such as CIM) will be an advantage but this is not considered essential for the role.
You’re naturally organised, methodical, and inquisitive with the ability to plan, manage and deliver a full portfolio of work simultaneously; you have excellent attention to detail and accuracy, with a constant drive for you and your team to exceed expectations and make improvements in everything you do. You’re forward thinking, motivated, passionate, driven with an inherent ability to build great relationships, not only with your work reports but with your peers, colleagues across the business and with external agencies.
