About the role

Joining our Claims recovery team you will be responsible for negotiating with Third Party Insurance Companies and Solicitors with a view to recovering money on claims where our Policyholder was involved in a non-fault incident. You will work in line with our processes to get the best outcomes possible for our Customers and for LV=. Managing your own portfolio of claims you will act quickly to agree liability with the Third Party and look to recover any outlay that we have paid in respect of managing our Customer’s claim.

You will have a real talent for talking to people and negotiating claims settlements, so that our claims policy and group strategy requirements are met. Building and maintaining customer relationships will be something you pride yourself on. As well as all of this, you will have great ability in managing your own time and workload while still maintaining accuracy, with a passion for great team work and commitment to your role.

About you

Now, three words to describe you? Positive, helpful, considerate. So, when it comes to our customers and your daily work, nothing is ever too much trouble. You will love talking to a variety of customers, clients and other members of LV= staff and you’ll go out of your way to proactively find answers to questions. We would like you to have a good customer services background, and a good education behind you. It would be really great if you had some experience in the world of Insurance, but if you don’t, you will have an eagerness to learn and be proactive in your role, as well as experience of working in a busy and sometimes pressurised environment. It is a requirement that you have a grade C in GCSE maths or equivalent. You will have great communication skills and the flexibility to adapt to a changing environment, and really positive and outgoing attitude to work.


The start date for the role 1st April 2019 . Due to the nature of the training period we ask for no holiday to be taken for the first 6 weeks.

It is for a full time position working 35 hours a week across Monday-Friday between 8am and 5.30pm.
