Four years at LV= and four great things about working here
Posted by Anthony
We caught up with Anthony who works in our customer service team in Bristol. Anthony reflects on his four year LV= career and his four favourite things about working in customer service in our Bristol office.
The ongoing training
There are great training opportunities working at LV= and you’re encouraged develop your skills and learn about new areas. I’m fully trained across both Motor and Home insurance and currently undergoing my Chartered Institute of Insurance (CII) certification, which is a nationally recognised qualification. It’s nice to work for a company that invests in its people so much.
Around two months ago, I started working from home and it’s been a brilliant opportunity for me. Homeworking really fits in with my lifestyle and gives me more quality time to spend with my family and helps me to co-ordinate my work and life commitments. I live quite far outside of Bristol so it also saves me money and time spent travelling. It’s all done very professionally and I still work to shifts and have daily contact with my Team Leader.
It’s a very collaborative culture at LV= and even working from home, I’m still well-connected with my colleagues. People are very supportive and we all do what we can to help one another out. My Team Leader and I have monthly one-to-ones so I’ll either go into the office or they’ll come to my home for it! We have the Lync network which means we’re all constantly in touch and help is only a click away if you need it.
Personally, I’ve always liked working for larger companies and I think that the benefits are one of best things about working at LV=. On top of a great holiday allowance, you also have the option to buy and sell holiday. The whole flexible benefits package is really good with things like dental plans, health benefits and much more. It’s all the little things put together that make LV= such an enjoyable company to work for.
