“I enjoy that not every day is the same”

When did you start working for LV=?

I joined LV= in November 2017.  

What did you do before coming to work for LV=?

Before LV= I was a Senior Communications Consultant, specialising in pension communications. Prior to that I was a Client Relationship Manager working for various third-party pension administrators.  

What does your day-to-day role look like?

As part of my role, I manage the running of the Staff Pension Schemes. That includes not just the oversight of our current workplace pension scheme, but also working with the Trustees of any historic pension schemes LV= has. 

What have you enjoyed most in your role so far?

I enjoy that not every day is the same. Variety keeps me interested. In pensions there is always something new to learn or changes to legislation coming through, that needs to be embedded. I also like the variety of people that I get to work with to help me carry out my role.    

What other role within LV= could you see yourself doing?

Oh, that’s a good question. I am a pensions person at heart, so maybe expanding into Benefits and Financial Wellbeing.  

For a work meeting, what’s your drink of choice?

Definitely coffee.  

Outside work, what do you enjoy doing?

The majority of my summer is taken up with softball. I am the captain of a team (Schrödinger’s Bat) that is in a social league and play most Wednesday’s. My summer weekends are generally full of softball tournaments or social events (I am also the league social secretary). In the winter I like to watch Rugby (I’m a Bristol Bears season ticket holder).
