Curious about life as a Sales and Service Manager? LV= General Insurance (LV= GI) long-timer, Sophie Reed, tells us why she still loves coming to work every day and what the future holds for her.
When I first joined LV= GI, I only planned to stay for six months. But I soon realised there was something special about this place. It's a home away from home where everybody's like family. That might sound a bit cheesy but it's the truth. I've never worked anywhere else that's made me feel 100% comfortable to just be myself. That’s why I’ve stayed here for 12 years.
I'm a Sales and Service Manager in the Motor Insurance department. As a cross-site Manager, I look after teams in Huddersfield and Bournemouth. Everyone’s so different, but we get on so well. My colleagues and the other managers are just the most supportive people in the world. They've made my job so much easier.
We’re always looking for more people-people to join our teams. People who can listen, people who put the customer first. You don’t need to come from an insurance or customer service background – you can come from anywhere. That's what makes LV= GI so great – you meet different people day in, day out. When it comes to flexibility, you'd be hard pushed to find a rota that wouldn't work for you and your lifestyle at LV= GI. I've got a great work-life balance. Being able to work from home enables me to spend time with my dog, Finn. If he needs a walk in the middle of the day, I can take him out during my lunch break which is brilliant. That's one of the massive perks of working here – the company takes our wellbeing and welfare really seriously. They understand the importance of having a great work-life balance.
